Malaysia Ultra-Trail by UTMB is proud to launch RIMBA UTMB, a long-term tree replanting initiative under the UTMB FOR THE PLANET program. RIMBA means forest in our local language. Our vision is to create a lasting, positive impact on the environment by replanting trees every year as part of our race.
Rebuilding Nature, One Tree at a Time
With the support of the local Taiping authorities, a dedicated parcel of land has been allocated for reforestation efforts. Each tree planted will contribute to restoring the natural ecosystem, preserving biodiversity, and reducing our carbon footprint—ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the stunning landscapes of Malaysia’s ultra-trail routes.
How You Can Contribute
We encourage our trail-running community to give back to nature by participating in this initiative. Runners can purchase a tree for RM30 during race registration, directly contributing to the reforestation of Taiping’s natural landscapes.
